Conversations for the Cure® Last year more than 1200 survivors attend the Nebraska Race for the Cure®. We also know that every 3 minutes another woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in this country. The Nebraska Affiliate developed Conversations for the Cure to capitalize on the existing network of support and resources among breast cancer survivors, co-survivors, and providers in Nebraska and encourage the exchange of knowledge and talents. This program offers a casual environment, for anyone interested, to participate in a conversation related to breast cancer and have an expert on hand to answer the tough questions. Conversations for the Cure generally takes place the last Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm at the Affiliate Office. Nebraska Methodist Health System sponsored the first Conversations for the Cure series and provides refreshments to those who join us. We have had an increasingly tremendous response rate to this dynamic program. If you would like to have a conversation about a specific aspect of breast cancer, please contact Mary Nelson at mary.nelson@komennebraska.org or call the Affiliate office. Upcoming Conversations...
