Request for Applications for the 2011-2012 Community Grant Cycle is available here and is due to the Komen Nebraska Affiliate office by December 1, 2010. Komen Nebraska Affiliate Community Health Grants are awarded annually for programs that focus on one or more of the following: Breast Health and/or Breast Cancer Education, Treatment Support, Screening and Post-diagnosis Programs.
Funding Term
Our grant cycle runs from April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012. Applications are to be postmarked by December 1, 2010. Announcements of funding will be made no later than March 31, 2011.
Overview
The vision of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a world without breast cancer. Komen Affiliates represent one of the nation’s largest private funding sources for breast health in the nation.
The Nebraska Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® solicits grant proposals for innovative programs in the areas of breast health and breast cancer education, treatment support, screening and post-diagnosis programs targeting services not otherwise available to medically underserved populations of the Affiliate service area: 91 of Nebraska’s Counties, excluding Dakota and Thurston counties.
